How To Find Us

Friday, August 11th, 2006

Locating INNSISON Apartelles is very easy. The building is easily distinguished by its unique design, painted mainly with old yellow and shades of gray. The facade is covered with blue-tinted glass in white frame.

From the Baguio City Hall, follow Naguilian Rd northbound. This is the same direction going to Lourdes Grotto, Coyeesan Mall or La Union. The building is located along Naguilian Rd cor Dominican Rd on the left side immediately after the Baguio City Welcome Arch. The place is hard to miss because it is the most conspicuous 8-storey building along Naguilian Rd. During normal traffic, you can reach INNSISON ithin 3-5 minutes from the Baguio City Hall.

As an alternative and perhaps the easiest, you can reach the place thru a taxi. Advise the driver to drop you off at Naguilian Rd cor Dominican Rd immediately after the Baguio City Welcome Arch. Baguio City taxi drivers know the place very well.

Happy Birthday Enrico Sison

Friday, August 4th, 2006

It didn’t seem too long ago. My wife didn’t want to have another baby after Sonya, our second child. I wanted another child but I didn’t insist. I understood the hardships of a woman getting pregnant. We resorted to natural birth control methods, rhythm method in particular, as far as I can remember. At some point she wondered why she was still not having her menstruation. I thought maybe it was just delayed as I was sure we followed very closely the “rules” to avoid getting pregnant.

One day, while we were shopping somewhere in Mabini St., she noticed a clinic doing pregnancy test. She decided to have a test. I was very confident she wasn’t so I just stayed outside looking at the items on the display windows of the nearby shops. 15 minutes or so later, she came out of the clinic. She didn’t look too happy then she said “POSITIVE”. I was surprised but I was actually happy but I didn’t show it because she will suspect that I “cheated” her during one of our “encounters”.

Eight months or so later, on the 4th of August she gave birth to baby boy Enrico. Enrico was born with a light complexion much like Florence. He was a strong boy although physically he looked light. He always let his mom carry him wherever the mom went.
In just a few months, Enrico travelled from Baguio to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Well not by himself… Floy, Florence and Sonya along with baby Enrico went back to Riyadh to join me.
Enrico grew up in Riyadh. He grew up as a fine kid. During his time, there were many Filipino families in the building where we lived so he got to see, played and partied with a lot of kids.

After a few years, he entered a Filipino school called Nour Al Maref International school along with his sisters Sonya and Florence.
When Florence graduated from elementary, it was decided that Florence continue her studies in Baguio so they had to go back to Baguio. In Baguio, he continued his studies at Small World where he gained more friends, both boys and girls. Hmmm… Now in Grade IV, we decided to transfer him at Berkley school. He loves Math and sports. He recently joined Speech and Drama. According to him, he joined because he likes doing commentary…whatever that means.
Enrico has grown to be a smart kid. Like the kids his generation, he loves playing Gameboy, Playstation and computer games.
Too bad, I can’t join him this day as I’m still in Riyadh. I’m just happy that he is fine.

Enrico, Happy Birthday from your mom and dad.

BAGUIO TRANSIENT HOUSES

INNSISON Apartelles, the better alternative to Baguio transient houses, hotels or inns

Many people who come to Baguio especially big groups usually look for a transient house instead of a Baguio hotel or an inn. There is the common notion that renting a Baguio transient house is cheap and “everything is there” meaning all that are needed are available. There are many houses rented out as transient house in Baguio City. These are usually rented out to take advantage of the influx of tourists coming to the city especially during summer. In many cases, such houses are not intended and designed as vacation houses and therefore, these houses may not be well-maintained and unprepared for tourists, transients or vacationists.

Undeniably, there are decent Baguio transient houses that are cheap and perhaps can provide everything that is needed. However, there are those who just want to make a fast buck where comfort, convenience and safety may be sacrificed. Cleanliness and presence of undesirable creatures are possible issues. Uninterrupted water supply may not be guaranteed and there may be no hot shower available. It’s hard to imagine taking a bath in Baguio without hot shower.

INNSISON addresses all such potential issues of Baguio transient houses. Comfort, convenience and safety, while maintaining affordable rates, are major goals of INNSISON Apartelles. Apart from what were already mentioned, there are many more advantages.

Groups looking for Baguio transient houses are usually big in number. It is not very uncommon to see such groups numbering in the dozen or even more. INNSISON has units that can accommodate groups of 12 or more persons. These units can prove to be very economical especially for those groups who are big in number yet very tight on the budget.

Concern on safety is another major consideration at INNSISON. The building is installed with modern fire alarm system and sprinkler system in compliance with the fire safety code.

INNSISON has sufficient parking space. You don’t have to park along the street and be a traffic hazard.

Water supply is continuous even during summer. INNSISON has its own commercial deep well assuring year-round supply of water. This cannot be said of many Baguio City transient houses.

Unlimited access to the internet is absolutely free for guests at INNSISON. You can access internet by using your WIFI-enabled laptops in the lobby area or the first basement. And yet again, it is unlikely that internet access is available in the typical Baguio transient houses, not to mention unlimited access.

A guard is put on overnight duty to ensure peace and order within the premises. And if that’s not enough, the police checkpoint is just about 250 meters away.

Many of INNSISON Apartelles units have their own kitchens just like other Baguio transient houses. If cooking is desired, INNSISON provides basic cooking facilities. Baguio City prides itself in providing fresh yet cheap vegetables year round. Would it not be a good idea to cook your own specialty using very well known Baguio vegetables?
